In today's video you may join Federico José Gaxiola Balsa, Motorcar Mechanic at our classic car-workshop, for an assembly of the softtop of a Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagoda. Enjoy!
Our recommendation
- First, the compartment cover is unlocked with the lever in the rear of the vehicle and then we open the compartment cover
- The plastic sheet, which is on the seals to protect them from damage, can be put away
- The softtop is pulled out of the compartment cover at the lowest part
- In the next step, the compartment cover is careully closed
- The front part of the softtop is placed on the frame of the windshield, the fastening bolts are inserted and the softtop is closed at the front
- Then the rear part of the softtop is fold down and locked in position on the compartment cover
